X-mini Capsule Speaker
It's almost impossible not to be impressed by the pocket-size X-mini Capsule Speaker. Given that we've never successfully located good third-party USB speakers to hook up to our notebook, the X-mini comes as a very neat and portable solution. We were even more impressed when, in a demo, Singapore-based XM-I Company's Ryan Lee gave the device a sideways twist and the X-mini extended upwards, accordion-style. And it's this extendable vacuum that acts like a loudspeaker, allowing the mini device to boom out in a surprisingly loud, full-bodied volume. According to Lee, this uses a patented technology that mimics the resonance of a sub-woofer. An on-off switch also doubles as a two-step volume control. To keep the sound even and not drain the player's own batts, there're rechargeable batteries built-in, although we stumbled upon some very minor glitches during the charging process. Still, for a 50g David that can best the Goliath boomboxes out there, who's complaining?

I got two for free from Telus because I'm a long time subscriber and have two cell phones with them.
someone pls tell me where i can get a replacement cable for this. i've two perfectly functioning capsule speakers but the cables have spoilt! :(
Just heard from my friend that it has broken down after using it for 8 months... Hardly even travel like my creative travel sound which is 3 years old, but sit on her desk top. Guess light weight and its small size does not last especially the paper diaphragm type speaker.
With the many fakes out there, beware of getting the wrong thing which is often cheap and of poor quality. Cheers! Johan Lee Manager shop@XMI
Got one for my birthday last June. Very good sound quality for a small speaker. Impressive bass as well. Sound does not "crack" when set to the maximum volume. Battery runs for a couple of hours even when used in the max volume setting.
I saw last two week that it is going for less than SGD30 at challenger Funan. It is best to test and compare with the other speakers. The x-mini sound crisp and clear for its size. You will find the bass is almost non-existence. If you are up for it small size, you may have hit the mini jackpot. If it is sound quality you are after, you may be disappointed. Then again, it is the theory of relativity.

I just got me one of these today. At first I was hesitant in getting it because of its diminutive size. But when I tested it out, I was sold on the spot. Those little things are so clear with little distortion. And when I equalized the sound, it sounded even better. Sound separation is clear and distinct. And man it is loud! Plus factor, it folds like a giant pill. Both the bottoms have magnets in them so the two speakers stick to each other. It comes with a flimsy pouch and the whole thing can fit in a small pocket in your Laptop case. Can't say that I'm not happy I chanced upon this little gem. Best 50g I spent on an item today.
Got a x-mini after getting some bullshit from a friend that claims that it's sound is even better than my current Creative TravelSound. After I got one, it is nothing near my TravelSound. Waste money.... Gave it to another friend. Stay with my Creative. A word of advice, if you expects good quality music/sound for expecially your ipod, get a better speaker. Anyway, this product is actually from China... OEM. Cheers
sorry i find it @ www.medialoods.com
