Siri claims to speak Japanese, but it's not reflected in the phone's settings.

If you now ask Siri what languages she speaks, she lists English, French, German and Japanese. There's only one problem: You can't switch to Japanese under the iPhone 4S' settings to use the feature.
9to5Mac speculates that Apple will add support for the Japanese language soon, and is likely to announce this at the iPad 3 event next month. Apple already states on its FAQ page that Siri will start supporting additional languages such as Korean, Italian and Spanish this year.
Now, native Japanese speakers may rejoice, as Siri doesn't understand their heavily accented English very well (nor other Asian accents, for that matter).
There's no word yet on Mandarin Chinese or Russian, although rumors were swirling around earlier this month that these two languages will be added in March as well.
Until that happens officially, we'll just have to contend with video parodies of Siri not understanding Mandarin Chinese.
