What we know: iPhone 5 vs. Nexus Prime

Well, firstly, Apple did not announce any new hardware at this year's Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). If you recall, Apple has for the last three years, used the conference to announce a new version of its smartphone.
When you factor in the rumors about the next iPhone being launched in September instead and the debut of iOS 5 during the same period, it could be a near-certainty that we'll see a new Apple smartphone then.
As for Google's next handset, Boy Genius Report (BGR) has an exclusive report on the upcoming smartphone (dubbed the Google Nexus Prime) that will supposedly come in November. This ties in nicely with the availability of Google's Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) that's slated for Q4 2011.
Officially, there are no hardware specifications announced yet, but we can take a pretty good guess with the rumored information on what you can expect in the later half of the year.
