i plan to move from hp dv pavilion 2000series to acer timeline. my use is basically for writing and preparing for my seminars and lectures, powerpoints multimedia etc. the timeline's long battery life is a big+ esp when i work in cofi shops that dont have power outlets. my question is what are the things i could not do with a core 2 solo? that configuration (solo) seems to be the only configuration in manila. the core 2 duo seems uppity but do i really need it? please help. i plan to get my unit on the 23rd of Sept. thanks all!

wow..is this the first acer multi-touch trakpad model?i've never seen before..well quite impressed with this model, but the only thing is, why use ULV processors? For me, I'm not satisfied with the speed..

Ok. I was wounder why all review have no comments on durability ? That is because i own a compaq V3000 it could not even last a year. After 6 months the laptop broke down i sent to to repair they say its the motherboard fault after 6 months the laptop broke down again and i call up to them they say the motherboard is warranty for 5 month so since its 6 months and over the one year period. They comment that if its the motherboard problem i will need to pay for $550 SGD to repair it so its not worth it to repair. Now i am looking for a laptop that is good powerful enought to do 3D buliding of engineering models and last beyone 1 year period.
