Good segment Leonard! Especially for those of us who will be flying into Singapore. I'd like to comment about panning tho', I don't believe using a tripod to pan is effective and I normally handhold my gear to pan. For the night race lighting conditions, I'd recommend photographers to do a pre-focus at a certain spot where you would likely be pressing the shutter button, and that would reduce focus hunting considerably and find more keepers. Keep the eye on the subject in the view finding and start shooting slightly before the sweet spot and continue the momentum throughout the sequence. Digital media is cheap nowadays, so shoot away and sift out ones which will be ultra sharp and delete those out of focus shots. Tripod tends to limit me if the my target F1 car changes lanes, then I'd have to adjust very quickly and may miss the crucial shot that I'm after.
