Toshiba appears to be cutting things a bit close with its latest slate.

With just a few weeks to go before Apple's highly anticipated launch of its next iPad, Toshiba has announced that its new 10.1-inch Android Honeycomb tablet, the Regza AT200, is now available in Asia.

As we noted in our preview, the Regza AT200 has an extremely sleek form factor that beats all other contenders in this department. Despite having a slimmer chassis than its previous attempt, the Regza AT100, the newcomer has a good selection of ports, including micro-HDMI and micro-USB.

While the Regza AT200 looks and feels pretty attractive, especially with its magnesium chassis, this Wi-Fi-only tablet comes with a rather hefty price tag. With a recommended retail price of S$849 (US$674) for the 32GB version, it is more expensive than a similar Wi-Fi version of the iPad 2 (S$798).

The AT200 should be available in stores in Singapore by the end of the month.
