With its dual 5.5-inch screens and portable form factor, the Tablet P is definitely one-of-a-kind.
It's a tablet like no other.
In our opinion, the Sony Tablet P has always been the more interesting of Sony's two Android slates, but while the Tablet S has been available since last year, we haven't seen the Tablet P in stores yet. However, this is set to change soon--Sony has informed us that it will be selling the Wi-Fi and 3G-capable Tablet P in Singapore tomorrow for S$848 (US$673).
In terms of hardware, the Tablet P has a Tegra 2 processor. The two 5.5-inch displays have a resolution of 1,024 x 480-pixel each and the slate also comes with dual cameras. Internal storage is very limited at just 4GB, though you can add up to 32GB of storage with a microSD card (a 2GB card is included).
The Tablet P is also PlayStation certified, which means it can run classic PS One games. However, it only comes with Crash Bandicoot installed and the selection of these games is extremely small. Furthermore, the PlayStation Suite which allows for the purchase and download of such titles is not available for this region yet.
While it is preloaded with Android 3.2, Sony is promising an over-the-air update to Ice Cream Sandwich in Q1, though the company hasn't revealed when exactly this would be happening.
According to Sony, the Tablet P is now available in the Asia Pacific region, but it couldn't provide exact launch dates or pricing.
