There's a lot of common sense at work here, which should appeal to the pragmatic Asian homeowner. To harvest all that sun power, a battery pack plugged at the base of the hanging soaks up those solar energy to be used later juice up your gadgets via USB.

the threat of 'global warming' is not a 'chicken&egg' thing. someone's got to start something, as humankind plays catch-up to the effects of climate change; this time 'round, early adopters is not an option for this industry to grow & change the solar landscape, but a need, an urgent need.

Exactly the kind of clever & elegant solution we need to save more energy by tapping natural resources. But, until solar cells become more efficient and less costly, I don't think they can be used domestically and actually save us money. I'd still buy these solar blinds for fun though!
