Remarks: Though it is not the fastest machine in the show, this model is possibly the cheapest laptop in the market. However, note that you need to spring for a Windows license as this portable does not come with an operating system installed.

Remarks: The first UMPC from Packard Bell, we were not too hot for its looks but the specifications are impressive. It even has a DVI port which could be the first for a notebook this size. This model also comes with a generous three-year warranty.
Specs: VIA 1.2GHz; 1GB RAM; 30GB HDD; integrated graphics; 7-inch screen; Windows XP Home.

Remarks: Modeled after the French haute couture, this ultraportable comes in a sparkling white case and weighs only 1.5kg with the standard cell. This model also comes with a generous three-year warranty.
