Following Samsung's announcement that the Galaxy Nexus will be available in Singapore on February 11, it seems that there's more for Android fans to celebrate in the city-state.

According to Winston Goh, Samsung Asia's product marketing manager, Singapore may very well be "the first country to start retailing the white Galaxy Nexus".

In another tweet, he said, "We beat UK by two days. And no one else seems to have started."

This is good news as the handset has already missed both its Q4 2011 and January 2012 release dates. Both the white and black versions will retail at S$948 each without telco subsidies.
