The ST550 and ST500 are possibly the only point-and-shoots in the market now with two LCDs. As with other cameras, the duo have screens on the rear. But what's special is the 1.5-inch display on the front of the snappers. This additional LCD not only allows users to take self-portraits easily by tapping on it, the screen can also playback cute animation to capture kids' attention when taking their pictures.
These two 12-megapixel touchscreen cameras can be operated with Smart Gesture, meaning you can access certain functions by drawing a pattern on the display with your finger. The ST550 has a 3.5-inch screen which has a resolution of 1,152k dots, making it one of the sharpest LCDs for point-and-shoots.
We've seen cameras with GPS or Wi-Fi features, but none that combine all these functions into one package. The ST1000 not only has geotagging and wireless connectivity, it is compatible with Bluetooth and DLNA standards. This shooter is also touchscreen-operated with Smart Gesture and has the same high-resolution display as the ST550.
Pricing for the trio has not been released, but the ST550 and ST500 are expected to be available in Singapore later this month. The launch date for the ST1000 will be confirmed later.

Two screens is a good idea but costs for photographers also goes up. Phones with cameras with high quality photos and video, zoom facilities and have internet and computer connectivity, and many other facilities are putting this question. Why do we need a camera?? OK the "professionals will argue that case!! Produce a phone/camera that gives you the best of both worlds and your onto a winner! (manufacturers take note! and send me one as a prize for this idea!!)
