CNET Asia Review
Very good
The good: Better-than-average video quality; Dolby Digital 5.1 surround-sound recording; decent still photos. 7.1
out of 10View score
The bad: No video light; occasional compression artifacts still noticeable; slightly grainy low-light video; LCD too small for touch-screen operation.
The bottom line: The Sony Handycam DCR-DVD805 is a solid DVD camcorder, as long as you don't mind fiddling with a touch-screen interface on a too-small display.

Great product!!!
Feb 22, 2006Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Great video quality, bright, large, & intuitive touch screen
Cons: A bit bulky, with limited DVD storage capacity
Opinion:
Great camcorder with good video & still image qualities. Though the JVC MG70 & MC500 have got their awesome capacity & portability, the Sony 805 wins hands down in terms of pricing and better video quality.
