The bad: Windows Vista SP1 lacks any compelling "must haves," and, in most cases, doesn't significantly improve performance (in some cases, it even degrades performance).
The bottom line: While it's always good to install the latest code for any operating system, installing the Windows Vista SP1 update will require some casual users to spend a few hours without any visible or tangible improvements to their systems.

Opinion:
I heard so many poor opinions about Vista that I had decided to skip it....until I needed to reinstall the OS on my system using Windows XP Pro so I thought I would give Vista a try and installed the Ultimate version. I was surprised to find how well and fast it works. Start up is faster than XP, shut down is faster than XP, everything is faster than XP and very stable.
I don't understand why so many don't like Vista?
Improved features, better than Vista with no SP.

Better, but still requires high computer specs. Still horrible. Not as good as Leopard.
