User Review for McAfee VirusScan Plus 2007
Can't install from CD. Unavailable 24/7 support

Pros: Lower cost
Cons: Didn't manage to install. Poor technical support that didn't solve the problem.
Opinion:
i) Ran the Virtual Technician which of course tells me that it can't detect a product since I've not managed to install it the first place.
ii) Tried the FAQs which did not address my problems.
iii) Installed the Internet Chat Client GoToAssistDownloadHelper that indicated a 2 min wait time of which I experienced something like 20 min after about 30 attempts.
iv) Managed to talk to Technical Support online who guided me through numerous steps but was unable to resolve my problem. He requested me to check for Windows Updates which I found to be updated
v) He then requested that I restart my computer in Safe Mode to install the software. I had worried about terminating my precious link to him which of course it did and now I can't contact the 24/7 chat support which indicated that it was experiencing issues with the chat service and unable to connect you.
Used up 90 min trying to get to technical support.
