Right-click the printer you want to set up for
sharing, and choose Sharing. The print share setup screen appears. Give the
printer a name (something short) and if you want, a brief description. Printer
names should be descriptive, like color and black, upstairs and downstairs,
Engineering and Payroll, etc. Click OK to complete the sharing setup.
Click File and Printer Sharing, and check the
Print Sharing option, if it isn't checked already. Click OK, then OK again, to
dismiss the Network window. If asked, confirm the system restart.
A few minutes after the computer with the
shared printer comes back online, go to another network computer and check
Network Neighborhood. Double click the icon for the computer with the shared
printer, and the printer icon should appear.
