slow, poor color quality
Nov 17, 2008Rating: 4 out of 10 (Mediocre)
Pros: cheap
Cons: slow warm up and printing, washed out colors, reddish hue for natural colors
Opinion:
very bad color printing. Tried printing a4 colored prints. Those with green and blue dominant colors came out well. those with natural and brownish color came out poorly. skin tones always turned reddish or spots of red on the face.
Tried printing 1" x 1" pictures and wallet size pics of people for id directories and its still the same. Blots of red on skin of the face comes out. I think color printingh is only good text and highlighting and not for printing of pictures of persons and brown-natural colors.
bought it at about usd 110 so cant complain. Am trying to sell it.

Good product with an excellent price
Nov 1, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Print quality, compact printer size, quiet operation
Cons: warming up time and printing speed is slow compared to other laser printers..but not a problem for personal use
Opinion:
Excellent product. I would recommend you to buy this if you're looking for a well-rounded laser printer. Even with excellent specs, the price is very cheap for its specs. Printing quality is consistent. Size is very small which allows us to put it anywhere we wish (Samsung says it's the world's smallest laser printer).
The only problem I see is that the warming up time prior to printing is quite slow. Printing speed is also not very fast but it's okay for its compact size. But these issues are not a problem at all if we are using it for personal/home or to put it on your office desk.
Low priced colour laser printer with decent print outs and I'll have mine in black please!
Jun 28, 2008Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Looks cool in black, small footprint for home and small office, affordable with reasonably good print outs in mono and colour
Cons: Nothing really to complain about for its price
Opinion:
I was a little worried about the print quality at first but having owned this baby for about 2 weeks, I do not regret buying it.
Having bought mine from the recent Singapore PCShow2008 at a special price (SGD298, for first 10 units), I could hardly complain about its print quality.
Print Quality:
Text and coloured image printouts looks pretty decent for its low end price.
Of course, you may be able to get better print quality from other manufacturers but these are often higher end models and hence the bigger price tag.
Physical Device and Looks
Its small size certainly has its merits in a small study or office and will certainly not look out of place.
In my opinion, the CLP-315 looks alot cooler than the CLP-310 because it is dressed in black with glossy panels in the right places. Even the colourful "ColorXpression" logo in ... Read more
