Fantastic printer for the money
Sep 25, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Fast, quiet and cheap
Cons: would stall a few seconds after the second page printed
Opinion:
My wife had to print 2500 color pages ASAP, we bought the CLP 310 and an Epson 90 series inkjet. The inkjet was taking a minute and a half per page while the Samsung was popping them out every 10 seconds. We were printing in a room at 32c and high humidity here in Bangkok. When the Samsung would stall after the second page I cured it by setting a floor fan blowing on the rear of the machine. We continous ran both machines about 18 hours a day till the run was finished. The out of toner sign came up at about 1000 pages but we kept running and it's still printing after about 1200. Would highly reccomend this machine to everyone.
Absolutely Terrible... Returned to store, not worth the $200
Sep 2, 2008Rating: 3 out of 10 (Poor)
Pros: Decent Print Quality, Cheap cost of consumables
Cons: Cannot print more than 2 pages in a row with out JAMMING!
Opinion:
I bought this printer for university. The print quality of this printer is actually pretty good, and the price was right at only $200 for a network ready color laser! The cost of consumables on this unit is also very good at only $50 for a 1500 page black toner and $50 for a 1000 page color toner. The only problem is that it jams atleast every second page, and after talking to samsung on the phone they said there is nothing wrong with the printer, but if I was still not satisfied with it I should return it to the place where I bought it. BUYER BEWARE, this printer looks like a great deal but it really isn't, unless you are willing to put with it jamming every time you try to print something, and it wasting all your paper and toner.
