The bad: Print quality needs improvement; very slow 4R photo prints.
The bottom line: The Lexmark X4550 offers what most all-in-ones in this price range don't: Wireless networking. Casual home users who value network-readiness will love that feature, but users who want better print quality will be happier with a different machine.

A junk wifi hardware..
Apr 20, 2008Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: Wifi
Cons: A piece of junk
Opinion:
This piece of hardware is Wifi thats for sure... but it is slower, worst and stupid than any printer I've seen in my entire life. I don't recommend this at all. I can't rate 0 so I rated a 1. being a computer research scientist and aware of state-of-the-art maybe I am being more derogatory towards this printer.
I am writing this review because I don't understand a lot of issues with this printer.
It acts weird in many aspects.
It's stuck half-way for unknown reason.
There's no paper jam but it shows a Jam status.
A couple of issues I address below:
1. Status on printing:
When I set the following options:
Quick Print, Black&White, No automatic sharpening.
This is what I get:
it shows 99% done when I press print on my screen but this is how it prints in actual.
2 sec print 25% page... 28 sec wait... 1 sec 70% print... ... Read more
