Cool Printer!
Jun 23, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Vibrant scanning, easy paper management feature, direct usb printing
Cons: not much except it's ...Heavy. and it doesnt come with a USB printer cable included.
Opinion:
Well no problem so far with this printer. actually this printer comes free when I purchased a laptop. great deal! I use the scanning more with the printing but the printing is way cool as well..especially with pictures.
I like how this printer handles the paper I feel like owning a mini Photocopying machine...:)
I also print pictures from my sony ericsson phone directly plugged in the unit as it has a USB in front.
what more can I say..this printer has been a "Brother" to me...:)

Pros: user friendly. quality printing
Cons: printer head faulty. no feeder for multi-scanning
Opinion:
bot the unit 6 mths ago and printer head faulty. the machine drained 2 full tubes of black ink but the print out is "blank". in the end, give it to my son the uninstalling engineer expert, dismantling the machine into loose parts within 2 days.
my advice - there is a reason why the printer comes with 3 yrs warranty and competitor only 1 yr. the printer head has given me enough problem and the servicing centre is just too far for me to carry-in service.
my opinion - pain in ass since the inks aren't cheap, hence the printer head faulty spoiled the "name". i am looking for a replacement, maybe epson C2900 @ 85 only.
Fantastic value

Pros: Quality printing, affordable, easy set-up
Cons: No USB cable included
Opinion:
I bought this machine at a very low price through a promotional offer. I've had HP, Epson and Canon printers and never seriously considered Brother before, but in this case the price was so good it was worth a gamble.
I have to say that I'm very impressed by the quality of this machine. Granted, I do not have very high requirements for a personal home-use multifunction, but the print/copy/scan quality are as good as I would expect from higher priced competing machines.
I had a software setup question which was answered by a courteous Brother support representative within two hours along with screen captures showing me what to do.
Kudos to Brother for a fine product and good service.
