Cheap and Rotten
Jan 29, 2009Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: None
Cons: Inflexible, slow, noisy, user-unfriendly
Opinion:
This printer would insist that you change its expended cartridges even if you don't wish to. I can't print my black and white document now because I haven't got any magenta ink to put in.
All in all, it's a terribly stupid printer which I wish to throw on the floor and smash a sledgehammer into. I will never trust Epson again.
P.S. Why isn't there a O/10 value on the User Rating Scale?
Value for money
Apr 28, 2007Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Cheapest All-in-One (when I bought it)
Cons: No free USB cable
Opinion:
I got it for $98 at Courts Megastore on 28 April 2007. Initially I was skeptical about the unit after reading about the supposed fast usage of ink. However, I chose to believe in the manufacturing standards that were mentioned in the product brochure. Furthermore, the individual ink cartridges are easily replaceable as compared to my previous HP 3-in-1 color cartridge, which really waste ink. The design and form factor is also a bonus as compared to Canon. Though the HP is able to copy more than 1 at a go w/o the PC, I doubt I'll ever use that functionality very often.
Ink consume is better in 2nd ink
Apr 13, 2007Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: print quality, price of printer
Cons: quite noisy when print in economy mode
Opinion:
I used the 2nd ink at the early of the year. I have printed about 50 pages of document and one page of A4 photo in normal mode. The software shows just less a bar or two in the indicator of the software.
