The good: Ease of use; price.

The bad: Average mono print quality; poor color print quality.

The bottom line: The CLP-300 is fine for printing documents that need a splash of color, and has low running costs given its price and features, but it won't suit users looking for outstanding print quality.

Definitely a cheap colour laser printer in today's market, but its quality leaves much to be desired.

Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: Low cash-and-carry pricing.
Cons: 1) Poor print quality (both black and colour) 2) Overheating 3) Yes, white fumes appear during printing, and they smell 'toxic' 4) Low running costs? Not true! Be prepared to buy replacement waste toner cartridge at around S$12.
Opinion:
After using it for under a year, discovered that 'streaks' appear in my printing. Referred to the user guide -- changed all colour cartridges and waste toner cartridge. Even opened the printer and cleaned the inside (recommended by user guide). Problem still exists.

The Samsung customer service is lousy. Called once to check on an error message. The lady simply wanted to get my contact details to send the tech guy over. She is supposed to handle the 'tech support' hotline but know nuts about the product. She promised to give me a follow-up call but it did not materialise.

If you are considering this printer, do look at more established brands. This printer used to cost S$400+ but the price has been slashed. Go figure out the reason. They are now targeting students. Students, beware. You have been warned.

Printer too hot, smoke gets out during printing

Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: Small in size
Cons: Printer too hot, smoke gets out during printing
Opinion:
It's really small in size. But, after powered up for a while, printer gets hot (less than 2 minutes, temperature rises to 40 deg. Celsius). White smoke gets out during printing! It's unacceptable!

Very good design, excellent text and photo quality

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros:  excellent text and photo quality, ease of use, small in size
Cons: The shiped cartrige has less ink in compare to the spare one
Opinion:
Totaly it is recommended to whom want very high quality output, no mater of high expence in runnung cost. There is yet no refilling kit
