Affordable, hassle-free, easy to set up printer compatible with Linux

Pros: simple, cheap, network-enabled
Cons: limited advanced printer options and 500 pages toner capacity.
Opinion:
Being one of the early adopters of Linux (Ubuntu), it is not always simple to find peripherals that are compatible. This was one of my key requirement when out went out searching for a printer at Sim Lim Square (Singapore). Originally wanting to get a Brother, I settled on this Lexmark, attracted by its manufacturer-stated support for the Linux operating system, built-in network functionality, and finally, affordable promotional price (SGD$199).
It comes in compact package, easily fitting into most spaces. Slightly wider than my IBM Thinkpad T43.
After plugging it into my network router, i powered it up, and put in some paper. The first thing it did (automatically), was to print out a test page, together with its network setting - it had self-configured via DHCP, and printed out its own ip address.
