CNET Asia Review
Excellent
The good: Fast print speeds; high-quality photo output; low ink costs. 8
out of 10View score
The bad: Merely fair plain-paper text quality; flimsy paper trays.
The bottom line: With its fast print speeds and low total cost of ownership, the S520 will appeal to families that print lots of photos.

Opinion:
I bought my S520 to replace an S3000 about 2 years ago. Since then it has never let me down. It prints text and mixed documents fast. Photos on the highest resolution take time but the quality is good. This was never really going to be the best photo printer out, more a very good-quality networkable small office printer suitable for home users. Running costs are low as single ink tanks reduce waste, only needing to change the empty cartridge, with genuine colors costing from £7 each, and compatibles approx. half that. Support from Canon is good also. I would buy another if I needed, but with the new PIXMA range I am now tempted to replace an old friend.
