Pros: Feature Packed
Cons: 2 blacks and 3 colour tones won't produce enoough hues for most photos.
Opinion:
I've tried various printers during the recent IT show. To make the test meaningful, I've used third party high quality photo paper (Ilford). The printers I've tried are C5380, TX700W and MX850. Hp printers are always over-rated in Singapore because of its strong branding in the IT industry. In actually fact Canon and Epson have always been the Champions in terms of Inkjet Photo Printers. The colors from C5380 are over-saturated and banding are evident. While Canon's prints are nice but bias towards yellowish, especially when you photos with people. Epson's prints are the most natural and the user interface are much better of that compared to HP's. Even HP's sales assistant that was attending to me couldn't find certain settings. Having said that, I own a HP laser printer and its great. Companies always has their strength and weaknesses. I wouldn't recommend HP when its comes to Inkjets and for shutterbugs, Epson should be the right choice.
