User Review for Epson Stylus CX5500
Poorly designed, poorly manufactured
Dec 29, 2008Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: Cheap printer
Cons: Single ink cartridge replacement often requires replacing all 4 cartridges
Opinion:
Either through poor design or poor manufacturing or both, replacing a single ink cartridge when the other 3 are near full can lead to the other three ink cartridges not being recognised as "genuine Epson" cartridges, even though they are and were working before. Epson denies the problem and says users should just keep reinstalling the used cartridges until the problem goes away. If the problem never goes away, you must install all new cartridges. Purchasing this cheap piece of trash will lead to wasting a lot of your time and money.
