The good: Fantastic battery life; cool and unique design; bright, easy-to-read OLED; solid sound; gets really loud.
The bad: No FM tuner or recording features; inelegant software; must use Sony's SonicStage software to get music onto the player.
The bottom line: If you want a beautiful-looking device with killer battery life, consider the Sony NW-E400 series.

What's an iPod good for?
by Chix Widdix - Sep 25, 2005

I have used mine for a three weeks without recharging it - iPods can't even make a day. The Sony will charge in minutes to give hours of up time. SoundStage supports all my MP3, but the ATRAC format sounds better. Built-in Gracenote is excellent and loading tunes are fast enough even using USB 1.1. Is much better than I thought it would be.
