Panasonic video recorder

I am interested to purchase this product.Today, I am using Panasonic video recorder model NV-GS70 to record on a mini DV tape.
Can I use this Pinnacle Video transfer to transfer what I had recorded on the DV tape into this device?
Can I modified the video images using this device too? Does it come with a bundle software or I have to purchase separately?
Where can I purchase this unit?
Hope someoe can help me answer my questions
