Best gaming mouses

By Craig Simms, CNET.com.au

If every frag and frame counts, you need some serious gaming equipment. From macros to on-the-fly dpi, to storing configurations on the device itself, the mouse is arguably the most important tool in a PC gamer's arsenal. Here, we have a list of our five favorite gaming mouses, from the classics that have stood the test of time to the newest wireless rodents on the market. And, yes, believe it or not, "mouses" is the correct term for the computer plural, although "mice" is slowly taking over.

Bring on the clicky ones!

Logitech G5 Laser Mouse
Logitech earns a CNET Editors' Choice award with this update to its flagship gaming mouse. An extra thumb button, an updated laser sensor, and more convenient and flexible customization options than the competition make this mouse easy to recommend to any PC gamer.

Price: S$109 (US$80.25)
Rating: 8.3
Good: Easy to use, on-the-fly sensitivity changer; customizable weighting system; updated design includes two thumb-side buttons; new higher sensitivity laser sensor.
Bad: Thin thumb buttons may be tough to use for those with large hands; electric-blue styling reminds us of a sports drink commercial (for some this may be a "good").

I'll take the G5, very similar to the Logitech I have now. Love it. I don't use anything but Logitech. Will upgrade to get the higher sensitivity laser sensor.

Out of curiosity, why is the Razer DeathAdder only included as a Mac version? Does that suggest that the PC version is inferior to the Mac version?
