NTU notebook deals 2009/2010
In this day and age, a tertiary student would find it hard to study without a personal laptop. It's not just a tool for typing out projects or reading assignment notes, but also a link to the wealth of knowledge found on the Internet. So as a yearly tradition, tertiary institutions like the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore offer notebooks at a significant discount to staff and students.
There are several advantages when buying from the campus program. For one, the university will offer software packages such as Microsoft Office and antivirus applications. For another, the laptop will enjoy at least a three-year on-campus technical support. Finally, these machines have been preconfigured to work with proprietary authentication applications used by the institution. Do note that the models reviewed by us may not have the exact same configurations as the models being offered for campus use. For example, the SMU ThinkPad X200 featured has a 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo P8700 processor whereas the retail unit incorporates a slower 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo P8400 chip.
