OS X vs Vista
At the end of the fracas, we find our trio alive and well--certain individuals happier than others. It appears Maiden Mainstream is the most pleased--she has found her beau, ditched her old flame and is looking forward to a life of bliss. Baron Vista is an ideal suitor. He is malleable, easy to get on with and not afraid of trying new things, such as experimenting with new form factors. If he becomes ill, she can seek the advice of almost any physician in the land as everybody knows what makes Vista tick. Likewise, Vista is over the moon after winning the affections of his new lover. That isn't a look of despair he wears on his face--it's an expression of unbridled passion. Count OS X, though bested in the epic battle, doesn't mind losing the acceptance of the maiden. He's a cool enough customer to find company elsewhere, and even if he is unable to find someone, Steve Jobs will love him eternally.

Would you say that a Honda Accord is a better car than a BMW 750, because there are more of them on the road? I dare say that if the die had not been cast in the mid-nineties, and people were able to have equal access to software between the 2 systems, Mac would rule the roost, because all other things being equal, it is a better machine.

After seeing Vista for the first time last year (launched in the Philippines sometime in January 2007), I was somewhat disappointed to see that it didn’t look so impressive after aeons of extensive development. But I thought it was quite cool and striking with an improved interface and definitely clear fun to play around with as compared to XP.
Vista is fun but it’s not perfect. I think its a copycat preposterous version of Mac OS X. It has actually done away with the cartoon-like look of the XP family and replaces it with an graphically intensive interface that does like a Mac. For the gazillions who are not really familiar with Mac graphical display formats, Vista’s eye-catching spectacle is a clear winner.
But for the Mac user’s point of view, the similarities are quite striking notably the translucent windows. Compare Mac’s Spotlight and Vista’s Browser, Mac’s Dashboard with Widgets and Vista’s Sidebar with Gadgets, and Mac’s iCal with Vista’s Calendar. The cool 3D flipping swooshing effect of Vista's Aero with thumbnail display, the new incarnation of the Alt-Tab command when you switch from one window to another lets you stack and flip windows like deck cards. I think its Vista's version of the OS X's Cover Flow.
Although I prefer using the Leopard, I'm using Windows just because I'm forced to use it. I really can't live without Vista or XP with a vast number of devices, apps and Web sites clutched to my job that can only run on Windows.
WIndows Vista is good...But I can say with dstoti, the "better machine" Mac runs the OS X.

Agree that it takes time to shift from Vista to Os X and understand. But once you are used to it Vista is out of your mind.
Now, i browse hell Lot on net. So, on MBP i dont even have an Anti-Virus but all fire Walls blocked. Trust me Since i got my MacBook Pro i never restarted it because of an issues ( Which is a daily procedure on Vista )
STABILITY- Wow.. You never get better stability.
My Word is both are very Good. Yet, OS X has the edge.

Vista ---> You get tonnes of softwares and easily runs games of any genre. And, i still use it for one reason -> being, all the other people in my Business use this. If i have to send a word doc, i cant send it using iwork's Pages 09. VISTA doesnt read it. Agree that there are few paid apps to convert, yet how many are willing to do that in INDIA...???
