Open mind for Netbook, judge your needs
Feb 7, 2009Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Good Battery power ( 4.5 hours ) continoue use on my applications, 10 inch display, good size keyboard
Cons: A bit thick and heavy for 10 inch Netbook compare with Lenovo S10
Opinion:
All buyer should set the right expectation for this netbook - If you are dealing with basic tasks; web browsing, email, internet radio, Skpye, playback MP3 music ... etc - It handles well. ( I am sure many of us aware) and I only standby between use, shut down by end of the day of my use.
I leave my more powerful notebook (bigger and heavlier) at office. Since I store all my data in a USB 8 GM Memory Sticks + USB Modem for Mobile BB. With Asus 1000H, it fits well my mobile use. In fact, I just bought 2nd one - Black Color at S$689 in Futan PC Mall (my wife really like the 1st one in white color)
I install MS Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint. It works well and does not slow down even it is the basic 1G model. if you are set to use as light use, there is no urgent need ... Read more
A fun product
Dec 29, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Size and function
Cons: None yet (you need to purchase an external cd/dvd drive)
Opinion:
I bought this laptop with 2GB ram and 160MB hard drive for my wife for Christmas and just finished installing everything (you need to purchase an external cd/dvd drive to install cd-based software). I've been in the computer business for several decades and find carrying my laptop, power converter, cables, and mouse to be a good back and shoulder workout. This small laptop was fun to work with, pretty fast, good function, and I hope my wife gets tired of it and goes back to using her HP Pavillion so I can have the Asus.
one of the best netbook in the market today
Dec 15, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: doesn't run hot,fast,screen,keyboards,battery life,sleek looks
Cons: no 3G,fingerprint magnet
Opinion:
A good buy! If only it has 3G connectivity then it would be closer to perfection. Well done again, Asus!
Excellent Machine
Sep 13, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Full of features one is looking for an ultra portable notebook
Cons: It's a little bit heavy for a netbook, 1,45kg.
Opinion:
I am fully satisfied with the performance of my Eee PC 1000h. I am using it for more than a week now, the keyboard size are better the his predecessors, the battery life span is great, and I also appreciate its clear 10.2 screen. I highly recommend this machine, not expensive yet excellent in performance.
Seems exceptionally good in every way
Sep 5, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: First (well-made) Netbook with all the features one needs and large enough screen.
Cons: Doesn't have WiMax yet; The excellent sound (quality) could be louder.
Opinion:
It just seems a near perfect, Netbook: One that is, for the first time, truly usable as a (small, lightweight, properly portable,) Laptop; and when I say small, it's not too small, (meaning keyboard and screen) it's actually the perfect combination of small size and real, every-day, usability.
The general quality and finish of this machine seem very good indeed.
