Best deal ever

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: I got mine for $250 U.S. dollars, included bluetooth, 120 gb HDD, 1 gb ram, 10 inch screen, webcam, over and underclocking processor and very cheap
Cons: Touch pad is not in the very middle of netbook, one button for both left and right click, batt life, ctrl and fn buttons in the wrong place, Screen resolution is not high enough, no integrated 3g, speakers are terriible
Opinion:
Yes, it does look like I have a lot of cons for my netbook, but I am actually very happy about this product. I thought it would be a slow, crappy laptop that would collect dust soon, but I was surprised to see how decent this laptop, excuse me, netbook was at performing everything my normal computer does at practiically the same speed. Well, it took some time to update the software and bios and I got scared of updating my bios, because it could brick the laptop at any time it messes up. There is a solution if you mess up updating the bios that would let you revert back to your old one if this happens. I didnÂ’t install any anti-virus software because I thought it would cause performance issues and I thought that if a major virus destroys the data in the laptop, it woiuld be over because there isnÂ’t a cd drivwe inside. There is also ... Read more

best among the rest

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: 2gb ram, 160gb hdd, 10 inch screen
Cons: small and unusually very sensitive trackpad
Opinion:
ive been looking for quite a few netbooks in the market, and the msi wind got the best specs of them all within its price range, (well basically its the best because its the only one with the 2gb ram freature).

i was about to buy the asus n10j (the one with the nvidia graphics card) but changed my mind when i computed that i would have to pay us$350+ more than the msi wind. us$350 and the only difference between the msi wind and the asus n10 was the graphics card and the hdd. so i opted for the wind. its cheap, and its good.

highly recommend

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: 10' screen, decent size keyboard, overall performance is good, 6cell battery, 160gb hdd
Cons: xp booting time is slower, some keys are small
Opinion:
i got this netbook in early dec. with just about a month of useage there have been a few issues but overall it is a great netbook. the 6cell battery runs just over 4 1/2hrs. however the problem i've found with this device is when i type with it, comma, period keys are shrinked down and it took a bit of getting used to. in addition, the booting time for xp is about 50sec not pretty impressive. however everything else was good. loading documents are quick and even using itunes is pretty snappy. the 10' screen isn't the best looking, but it has NO GLARE

Impulse buy but turns out to be fantastic!

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: bluetooth/wifi/3 usb ports/long batt life/keyboard easy to type
Cons: no inbuild dvd but ok as it adds to weight
Opinion:
Was contemplating b/w S10 and msi wind as both were selling at $699 with 6-cell battery at sitex.
In the end bought this as it has 3 usb ports as comapred to 2 in S10. Turns out to be value for $ and a fantastic buy! Light travel and surfing wirelessly are my aims and this machine satisfies my needs. Batt life of more than 5 hr is pure magic.
All in all, it was a great impulse buy!

Very good effort from MSI

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: price,10 inch screen,keyboard,bluetooth
Cons: battery.trackpad
Opinion:
I wouldn't mind trading my Asus Eee PC 900 for this one. A solid performer.
