Good Value and High End Laptop

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Full HD screen, Blu-ray player, HDMI port, overall design
Cons: Heavy, lots of trial games installed
Opinion:
I have used this laptop for about 4 months now and have no technical issue so far. I am satisfied with it up to today.
This is a high-end laptop with 16" wide screen. The only issue in this is it's difficult to find a screen protector for this size of screen, the same issue if you want to protect your laptop using additional skin. The graphic looks crispy and it's fantastic when you play blu-ray movie.
Equipped with HDMI port also makes it easy to connect to TV or projector.
The web-cam comes in a good response display in 640x480 pixels. No issue with its Bio-protection fingerprint accessibility.
When playing MP3 or audio-CD, the sound generated is also good, compared to other laptops I have used.
The only issue with this laptop is with its weight. Lots of trial games are pretty annoying especially when you have to uninstall each of them.
Mine also comes with McAfee Anti Virus ... Read more

2 weeks and loving it...

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Crisp clear images, good sound output, value for money specs.
Cons: Bloated with trial games, keyboard feel could be better.
Opinion:
After 2 weeks with my 6920G, i don't have much complains. It does everything its suppose to without hiccups. The design on the inside seems well thought out, with a "hold" touch senstive key to disable the CineDash Media Console to avoid accidental touches, there also one for the touchpad on the keyboard. Sound comes out loud and clear unlike alot of other notebooks i've tried. As with all notebooks, there is no true desktop replacement if you're gaming. But having said that, this comes close if you're not too hardcore with your gaming choices that requires a gazillion amount of processing power and graphics speed and memory. I've been running C&C3 Tiberium Wars and Sins of a Solar Empire without any problems. Of course, don't set everything to the highest configuration possible, you're just asking for it.
The laptop came without a Recovery CD, which i always felt was better. They do however prompt you to burn a factory ... Read more

A good notebook but very upsetting after facing 2 major problem.

Rating: 4 out of 10 (Mediocre)
Pros: Nice cover and colour. Excellent for watching movies. Good graphics and sound.
Cons: Keyboard too soft to the touch. Tend to sink inward when typing. The older version of the Travelmate keyboard is better. Faced with 2 major problem within a month after purchasing this notebook.
Opinion:
My first Acer Aspire 6920G series lasted only for 7 days. Had to send to Acer centre for repair and was told that the motherboard is faulty. A one to one exchange was given by the service centre. Now after 10 days of using the replaced notebook, the media control is not functioning. The notebook utilization is very minimal. No heavy gaming or prolong movie watching. Met a guy at the service centre claiming that he's sending his notebook for repair because the media control failed also.
