The verve's kickoff is the sleek and elegant design, with a little more than average specs.
Feb 29, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Excellant design, convinient media buttons..in whole, the most flawless entertainment laptop~
Cons: Trouble trying to get the remote out of the port hp provided, would prefer lightscribe than HD
Opinion:
Used this beauty for two weeks now, and I have nothing to complain about it except what I mentioned in the cons, but this problem is minor and bearable. A great laptop to do work and assignments on(my processor is the Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2GHz), and very convenient for those who uses their laptops for entertainment purposes. So if you're not a gamer, with the need for a high performance laptop..then this baby is for you~
Excellent pieace...I bought it 2 months back from Singapore.Really nice one.

Pros: Fast core 2 duo processor, large 2gb memory
Cons: Expensive, out of my budget
Opinion:
I own the HP pavilion 2220tx and I am very satisfied with the performance. What more with this dv 2600, fast processor and great memory. The look great, gorgeous.
DV2616TX: Beauty on the outside, Muscles on the inside
Sep 24, 2007Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Pretty "Verve" Imprint, touch sensitive media control, 250GB Harddisk space
Cons: Only 64MB GDDR3 dedicated video memory with Turbocache up to 831MB
Opinion:
I was deciding between this model and NEC Versa E6310. Both come with T7500 processor (2.2Ghz)and 2GB DDR2 667MHz RAM, which place these two models on another competition level.
Why NEC Versa E6310?
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS with 256 GDDR3 VRAM.
- Comes with 1GB Intel Turbo Memory.
- Leather faucade on lid with mirror finishing.
- Cheaper by about MYR400 (approximately US$120)
Why HP Pavilion DV2616TX?
- Hard disc space: 250GB SATA 5400rpm.
- Verve Imprint is just too pretty to resist.
- Fingerprint scanner, Altec Lansing speakers.
------------------------------------------------
Why NOT NEC?
- Plain looking design IMHO.
Why NOT HP?
- No Turbo Memory (not a big issue but it helps to have it).
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS 64MB GDDR3 VRAM only.
------------------------------------------------
Why did I choose HP in the end? Well simple. It's too gorgeous to be resisted! :P
Hope these help. Cheers from Dan!
