Good laptop...bad heat issue
Sep 10, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Gaming laptop, good specs
Cons: Heat issue after playing games...
Opinion:
Overall this is a nice laptop. After 9 months of using it, i would say this is definitely a worth buy. Just the heat issue is around to haunt you. Better buy a notebook cooler to at least overcome this issue...
Cheap yet very awesome!

HIgh end performer
Jun 3, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Excellent Graphics. High end feature packed.
Cons: Lack of adequate heat dissipation. Heavy,
Opinion:
Amazing performer for its price. Definitely one to rival the top line of laptops from other brands.
One major(and rather disappointing) problem is it heats up mighty fast. Tho it can play top of the line graphic intensive games with no problems, its lack of an effective cooling system limits playing time greatly. Be prepared to invest in some quality external cooling mechanism.
Great laptop, bad review..

Pros: Great specs; Great value for money; Beautiful screen
Cons: Touch-sensitive buttons sometimes activated accidentally; Loud touchpad buttons
Opinion:
What's that crap about 'smearing in enough grey to put British skies to shame'? One of the worst-written review I've read on this great site.
For this laptop's great specs, it's seriously cheap. A similar notebook can easily hundreds of dollars more. A MacBook Pro with similar specs costs at least a thousand more (SGD currency).
Acer has been increasing the specifications for the 5920G, without increasing its price, in light of the release of its newer Gemstone notebooks equipped with GF 9x00 series graphics cards.
The 2 cons I find more disturbing are the touch-sensitive buttons and touchpad buttons. The touch-sensitive buttons might get activated when you just brush your hands over them, but it isn't really a problem since you can adjust their sensitivity. The touchpad buttons are just too hard and loud. It gives the impression of them being really cheap parts.
Be prepared to spend a little extra cash on a cooling ... Read more
Mobile Gaming never felt this good
Apr 16, 2008Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: its a laptop
Cons: nothing
Opinion:
I bought this 5920G at the IT Show, and my specification is far much better then this.
Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz, 800FSB, 6MB L2
Nvidia GF8600M GT 512MB up to 1280 hyper memory
HDMI output
3GB DDR2 system RAM
320GB HDD
wireless A, B, G and Draft N support
you rate this product because of its color? i see the vaule and performances. and you forget to mention it has a great sound system, Virtual Surround Sound DOLBY home theater speaker with build in subwoofer.
this laptop is indeed good for gaming. this isn't the best part. bought this at S$2.6k, it comes with a free 22inch LCD monitor and a 20GB externel HDD, how cool is that.
