low battery life
Jul 16, 2008Rating: 6 out of 10 (Good)
Pros: water resistant
Cons: batter life low and heavy laptop
Opinion:
battery life can only last 3 hrs (max) which is quite disappointing.
the performance is quite slow for T61.
Excellent Machine
Mar 30, 2008Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: Great machine, light, speedy
Cons: Excellent
Opinion:
I have had T61 for a few months now, it has excellent performance! The graphic card is excellent as it advertised. Quiet machine, a lot quiet than past T-series with better cooling system. i think they have improved its internal speaker as well. CPU speed is good, with 2G ram is perfect!
Yeh people has been discussing its screen, it doesn't really bother me I personally think it's good still! Well one point is, its "hand rest part (edge bit)" the part surrounding mouse touchpad area doesn't seem to be well attached, prob it's just my machine... In general I am so happy with the machine so far!
Favourite Business Notebook
Mar 10, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Durable casing, excellent performance, unique design
Cons: No web-cam, no memory card reader, no glossy LCD screen compare to other notebook, is a pretty heavy notebook especially everything is packed into the laptop bag and carry...
Opinion:
I bought this T61 notebook during the IT sale 2008. I have compare to other brands as well, overall this laptop i feel is not bad.. As for those interested in playing game in this laptop will not be an ideal choice. This laptop is mainly for business use and some light gaming..Overall the LCD screen i feel is normal compare to those glossy LCD screen, which will look more nicer and sound quality is alright. The main thing i bought this notebook is Thinkpad provide excellent performance.. Won't regret buying...
Solid, Swift Notebook Technology in Simple Package
Oct 14, 2007Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Easy to Use, Sweet Keyboard, Clear Screen, Speedy, Great Battery Life...
Cons: A bit on the heavy side
Opinion:
Been using my Lenovo ThinkPad T61 and I've been very happy with it over the past five days. I bumped up the memory of my unit to 2GB and chose one that runs on Intel's Santa Rosa platform. Everything else is standard.
Pluses - keyboard is as close as you can get to a full, desktop keyboard, which has always been a ThinkPad feature. Executing most apps, including graphics intensive ones - is swift enough, very tolerable lag from one application to another. Screen is bright, in fact too bright as maximum. I opted for an extended battery which gives me five hours of juice without wires. Wireless connection is now a breeze, thanks to how Lenovo improved the connectivity features. The memory card reader actually works, and works well! The built-in webcam is also cool and produces decent quality video or photo. T61 comes with three USB slots.
