I purchased the tx1120us version a year ago. The price at the time was cheap $1500. I was looking for a small travel machine that would go with me as I traveled with work. I wore out the keyboard on my Toshiba M30 and I would spend a great deal of time on a plane and needed a machine to prepare presentations. The tx1000 was selected to fill the slot. It proved to be a disappointment on several fronts
1) the machine is too hot to place on your lap. HP placed a ... Read more
Perfect Size for a Tablet
Jul 10, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Beautiful Design, Affordable Tablet,
Cons: 4 Cell Battery, forget about it, use 6 cell and buy more.
Opinion:
I love the design, looks clean, very modern. The lamination on the whole unit keeps it shiny and sweat proof.
Much slower than Intel Based Systems of the same clock speed. In Malaysia they only had AMD Based Models.
It has enough power to perform my basic tasks, Video Skype on a Bluetooth Headset while watching movies and surfing
It is very affordable.
The touch screen is handy when using it on a
I upgraded to 4GB ram as soon as possible, purchased an express card 3G and 1394. Works fine in capturing video from a DV CamCorder.
I ordered an additional 6 Cell Battery in Ebay and it works fine.
I'm very happy with the purchase.
I previously owned a 14inch tablet, I found that to be too big and too heavy. This one is perfect.

Pros: price, touchscreen feature, remote, generous ram and hdd, lightscribe, looks really good, touchpad
Cons: very hot, windows vista, touchscreen hard get used to
Opinion:
It looks really good in black and silver, with scratch-resistant sides and beautiful design. Touchpad has a new feel: it has small holes instead of the flat touchpad we're used to. The screen is bright enough and it' already widescreen. You can see plenty of shortcut button all over the sides of the laptop which is convenient. It has wi-fi, bluetooth, webcam and a fingerprint reader which are all great to use. HP included this laptop with quickplay and it has windows media center and player which makes it an entertainment pc at its best. It's feature-packed laptop and has a very good price for its features. The bad news is that after just a few hours, it heats up-not just a little hot but very very hot and you'll need a cooling pad to keep it from overheating. The use of cooling pad works but the laptop will still be a bit hot. The weight is also a problem ... Read more
