Pros: Slick Design, ATI X1700
Cons: None, 'yet' (touch wood)

Thanks for the observation on the differences between the Asian model and Europe unit. This review was done by our sister site in UK.
We are currently waiting for the Core 2 Duo version test unit to arrive. Keep an eye out for an update of this review.
Singaporean V1J: Everything's great, except for the screen
Oct 26, 2006Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Stable, fast, elegant design, useful docking station
Cons: Grainy glossy WXGA screen
Opinion:
I doubt that the CNET Asia reviewer has actually touched a real asian V1J. It is not using non-glossy WSXGA+ screen like it's European mates. It comes in T7200 and not T5600. It is equipped with 2GB RAM.
The screen is grainy like W3J, before it was patched. I believe this disadvantage is temporary, as ASUS is working out a new BIOS.
