P7120/ T70M hangs solution found
Sep 25, 2006Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Very small , works well
Cons: little
Opinion:
Mine used to freeze a bit but after I have uninstalled a academic referencing software called EndNote, ot works fine! Somehow it clashes with XP and stops it from recovering from standby or hibernation.
It took me a few months to track it down. There are still bugs in XP (a lot??), beware.
Something cool I've been waiting for long...

Pros: Battery life, size, speed
Cons: Little if any
Opinion:
Despite previous posting,my T70M (Japanese version of P7120)has been working well. Managed to get the English Windows setting right for the keyboard and it is a breeze to use. Small, long battery life (11 hr with modular bay battery) and Wifi! Any improvement suggestion? Put a Core Duo in!
Do NOT get the Japananese version P7120

Pros: Really small, light, and fast
Cons: Only if it does not freeze up
Opinion:
Do not get the Japanese version of the P7120 which is called FMV-Biblo LOOX T70M which I got from a trip to HK. They took out the Japanese s/w (found out their existence in the Japanese manual) and re-installed English windows.
Somehow it freezes intermittently. Sent it to 4 different PC technicians experienced in fixing Fujitse laptop - no luck. I updated the BIOS, reformatted HD, installed Windows and drivers from scratch but it still hangs.
The Japanese version is not supported by ANY Fujitsu service centre outside Japan (not a joke), they refused to serve me and asked me to send it back to Japan Fujitsu - I am in New Zealand.
It seems mine is a write off and have to use it for parts.
LESSON LEARNT - only get hi-tech gadgets with international support. The one I got was 25% cheaper than the official one, but very sad to say it is ... Read more

Cons: a little heavy
Opinion:
I think if someone want to buy a light multi-use laptop, he or she must consider this one because of her function.
