Cons: I was over expecting, HD tOOOOOoooo Slow
Opinion:
I did alot of research before purchasing this machine that is now obsolete and no more available in market. Though i just wanted to add one basic comment that one should read the code after model as well. As here on Cnet it was wrtten just 5500 series. I thought that all 5500 will be equipped with ATI x700. I purchased this machine here in Pakistan. With expectation of getting what ever was shown over ACER website or Cnet. To my surprise price was more than international price. Other than that my machine is not equipped with ATI x700 it does not have ifra red port, nor TV-Out niter card reader. Even this one does not have bluetooth in it. Its procesor is unique of its kind that is not mentioned over any website. Its 1.70 nither 1.73 nor 1.6Ghz. Very good screen, many configuration options through ePower management, slot-loading DVD drive, not bad battery. Very stable machine. Used it for a week. So far so good.

I have this laptop for a month now with no problems. Good performance - have tried some of the new 3D games with good results. Only problem is poor battery life. And to a extend slower hard disk. Wish it had 128MB Video RAM.

Got this nice lappie one week ago. Quite value for money given its high-end specs. The only downside is when I close the cover near the hook there're some ripples on the LCD screen. Sent for repair but still the same.
