Great netbook for travellers.
Sep 30, 2009Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: 11.6" screen; Full-size keyboard; Lightweight; Slim design; Battery life.
Cons: CPU on the slow side.
Opinion:
This is a great netbook for travellers who want a bigger screen but don't want to sacrifice too much on weight and battery life. A slower CPU saves power but may suffer from slow loading times on flash-intensive webpages. Switching off flash by using the "FlashBlock" add-on for Firefox saves the day. On Office apps like Word and Excel, this baby flies.
With Wifi switched on and backlight at half brightness, the large 6-cell battery lasted for about 6 hours, and the flush-fitting 3-cell battery roughly 2:30 hours. Quite respectable for a 11.6" netbook indeed.
