Small and good looking laptop.
May 6, 2009Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Light weight, good connetivity, good battery hours.
Cons: abit laggy for gaming and professional designing software.
Opinion:
Bought this laptop 3 weeks ago. Good for someone who work more than 8 hours out of the office, not too bulky compare to my previous Dell Vostro 1500 (super heavy).
The connectivity is good even in weak signals area.
Cons are coming with intergrated Graphic card, quite slow even when I was playing with some old games and also slow processing while using software like Adobe Illustrator, took about 10 sec to open.
Will want to buy another Window Xp Os for it, it might run better with XP.
Great features, well worth the price

Bought my unit for less than a month. Working with it is such a breeze. I use it for work, entertainment, and some light gaming. So far, it has been excellent in terms of performance. No glitches whatsoever. Even the Vista (which I detested at first, it came with the unit) works seamlessly. Even though it's cheap, the features and performance will wow you. This nifty computer goes well beyond your expectations. I am really happy I bought this unit.
Good value for every cent you spend on it!

I really had a very good bargain with this laptop. So far so good. Both the look and performance of Acer laptop has improved over the years. I don't have problems with running Vista as some people say it slows down. I disable unnecessary things during the startup so it's faster. I unistall the McAfee which comes with the laptop when I bought it and install Kaspersky AV 2009 which is one of the lightest and one of the best AV in the market or you can try the ESET NOD32. The less processes running in your laptop the longer the battery life as well. My battery last a decent 3hrs. and I notice that it also doesnt heat fast compared to my other laptop, the fan is sooo ... Read more
