CNET Asia Review
Very good
The good: Small and inexpensive; fairly rugged construction; better touchpad; bigger screen and hard drive than its predecessor. 7.5
out of 10View score
The bad: Bigger screen has the same low resolution as earlier model; we're still waiting for the next generation of ultramobile chips from Intel.
The bottom line: Intel tweaked the Classmate PC in its redesign to appeal to first-world schoolchildren, and it offers an experience on par with mini-notebooks from ASUS and HP.

why the upgrade?
Apr 5, 2008Rating: 5 out of 10 (Average)
Pros: cheap, small form factor, practicality
Cons: weight
Opinion:
with its weight over 1kg, this upgrade seems to be suited (not for children anymore) perhaps for college students who wish to havce a no-frills type of pc. but why didn't they stick to the supposed ultraportableNESS while improving its tech specs?
