Its the beat gaming laptop i have ever come across.Nice performance.A great laptop for all the gaming freaks out there.

useless keyboard for gaming

Pros: keyboard does not detect 3 keys!! Example: left+down+ctrl
Cons: expensive but good graphic card
Opinion:
Asus has used a very cheap keyboard controller.
It is not always possible to detect more than 2 keys at the same time. This makes the keyboard useless for gaming unless you only use no more than 2 keys at the same time.
For instance try left arrow + down arrow + CTRL or SPACE.

Opinion:
The Asus G1S is one of the most complete gaming rig for the serious gamers who give a thought about mobility. At 3.3kg (with battery pack), it ranks in the upper-middle portion of notebooks with 15.4 inch screen size.

The graphics card (Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT 256MB internal memory, up to 1GB with Turbocache) and the processor (Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2Ghz) gives this machine a score of 3700 in 3DMark06 (no overclock, normal test resolution), a serious rating gamers would consider. In comparison with the main competition from Acer's Aspire 5920 which gives only 3200 points (from CnetAsia's review).

I love the keyboard too! With each pressing of any key comes a satisfying click and not just spongy nothingness.

The main drawback is the speakers. Even though I am right beside it, it seemed like coming from the next-door neighbours. There isn't a problem with the soundcard, because when I connect it to external 2.1 speakers ... Read more
