lots of trouble

Pros: compact and light, lots of features
Cons: noisy van
Opinion:
It is nice and small, yes. It is light, yes. But after 1 year struggling with my Toshiba Protege M500, I really wish I had bought something else. The van is always blowing full speed, with a lot of noise, yet it overheats easily. The DVD drive was 'burned' before I could use it. Reformatting the laptop using the Toshiba DVD appears to be impossible, for the computer will not start up from the DVD. Since I use this laptop I constantly worry what the next problem will be...
In short: I'm very disappointed!

Good compromise for a portable computer

Pros: Screen, Core 2 Duo, Price, DVD R/W, Security, Weight
Cons: Bulky, not the best besign out there
Opinion:
It is not the smallest laptop, and not the most beautiful one, but the quality of build and the security incorporated, including an accelerometer to protect the HD, among with a very nice screen makes it a very good choice. The major problem is that it is a little bit too thick compared to most of its rivals.
