CNET Asia Review
Excellent
The good: Laminated scratch-resistant body; discrete graphics card option; integrated Webcam; HP QuickPlay function; stylish touch-sensitive buttons. 8
out of 10View score
The bad: Thick chassis; below-average battery life.
The bottom line: HP's entertainment notebook not only delivers in features, but also goes the extra mile to redesigning the chassis to appeal to those with unconventional tastes.

Jun 26, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: sleek design, scratch-proof, portable in mobile
Cons: overheating problem, low battery life
Opinion:
the other guy is right, its overheating problem is the most minus factor of this model. it started 1 day, when it just suddenly lost its power, i tried to reboot or turn it on again but to avail. i tried this solution which i read from hp users of this kind: i removed the battery then turned it on using ac adaptor, then WALAA! it boots!, i then turned it off replaced the battery and turned it on again. it occasionally happens until i update its bios. AND THEN AGAIN THE REAL ISSUE IS HERE THE BATTERY (and itsCOOLING SYSTEM). i have to compliment the 1st guy, yes you're right it's better running on xp its faster. vista sucks!

Pros: excellent portable pc with great speed and exceptional look
Cons: I'll explain....
Opinion:
Hi, I've this pc and it had been working terrificly until shortly when I forgot my password for the windows and even the hint didn't help me...cuz I hadn't used the computer from almost a week. So then I didn't know hwo to overcome that irritating conflict. Hense, I didn't utilize the computer for another week. Then, when I turned it on again after almost 11 days it started blinking and everytime I attempt to turn it on it starts blinking. Can anyone tell me what that problem is all about, and how to fix it?
Meh, it's alright.

Pros: Lightweight, portable, sleek
Cons: Hot as hell!!! (underneath on the left side! I have a burn to prove it!)
Opinion:
I'm a journalist, so I wanted this comp since it's lightweight and portable. It's really easy to slip into a messenger-style bag and take it on the run. I don't really care for the extreme sensitivity for the QuickPlay. It's pretty lame when you're in a hurry and have to wait for it to load just so you can close it. It came with Vista, so it runs slow as hell. I agree with the other guy when they said you really need atleast 2 GB for Vista to run effectively. I love the various memory card slots so uploading pics are very fast and easy. The biggest con for this is the heat that comes from the left side. I have to keep it on a book or table at all times. I got this weird burn on my leg from it heating up all slow. Lame. If it didn't heat up so much or so hot then maybe ... Read more
