A sound purchase deicision even a year after!
Nov 5, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: power longevity, requires careful attention especially when transporting it to avoid hardware damages resulting to abusive transport
Cons: Screen clarity, reasonable weight, core duo, stylish,
Opinion:
Have been using this model for almost a year and have found to have made an excellent decision both from the utility and financial sense. I do agree with the other raters that the battery may not last as long as competition but if you look carefully, the rational behind this is obvious. The clarity and perfomance as well as its portability of course reflects a great deal of benefit to the user thus certain in conveniences may be inherent on the power longevity department. Despite its downside, I maintain my position that this is one if not the best notebook computer I have purchased to date and am planning to keep it for many years to come.
The best bang for the buck laptop in the market today!

Pros: The Ati Radeon x1600 is superb! Great form factor, very sleek, not bulky, Great value for money!
Cons: battery life not that long... but it's the same with all discreet graphics laptop.
Opinion:
If you have the choice between other expensive brands with lesser or same technology, get this great acer... go for this!
Great bargain for good value
Sep 10, 2006Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: High specs and sleek.
Cons: The Bluetooth & Wlan led buttons seem kinda loose
Opinion:
Overall, the Acer 5562 is a full package, which comprises of webcam, bluetooth, mmc slots etc, at a very reasonable price.
However, Acer could have improved on the overall build quality such as the Led buttons which seem kinda loose. Further, the speakers should be louder at the maximum volume.
No doubt, with the excellent graphics and 100 GB stoage, this machine is definitely a bargain for media lovers (with the enhancement of a good pair of speakers, that is).
