Bad battery, bad heat managent, bad laptop
Sep 26, 2007Rating: 3 out of 10 (Poor)
Pros: good on paper, nice large screen... thats about it
Cons: the battery is terrible (i only get 2 hours at absolute best), the laptop wireless will cut out when (usually while charging) it gets too hot, it randomly turns off for no apparent reason (turns off, not shuts down), poor performence
Opinion:
A terrible excuse for a laptop. Provided to me by my school, almost all the issues experienced by me are also experienced by my classmates. It is poorly constructed, *very* easilly damaged. The battery is horrible. The wireless cuts out. i would strongly discourage anybody from buying one
Excellent value
Mar 2, 2006Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Fast, well featured, inexpensive.
Cons: Flaky mouse, case scratches easily
Opinion:
First off, I paid $100 less than is shown here and got a 100GB HD, a GB of RAM and a Bluetooth transmitter was included. Everything works fine except that the mouse gets sloppy after using it a few hours. Mine does not run hot. Very stable system, burns CDs and DVDs well. Bargain!
Acer Budget Duo Core Machine
Feb 11, 2006Rating: 5 out of 10 (Average)
Pros: SuperB Value for money.
Cons: Poor heat management and poor material cover
Opinion:
As usual, Acer's machines are very value for money. This machine is great value for money as well.
Only drawback is that the heat management, a vital factor to a lifespan of a laptop, is pretty poor, if you are looking for a short term investment value for notebook. This is the one.
