CNET Asia Review
Average
The good: Good performance; highly functional design; numerous quick-launch buttons; swivelling 1.3-megapixel camera; HD-DVD drive. 5.5
out of 10View score
The bad: No TV tuner; not as good looking as the Sony and Toshiba competition; 1280 x 800-pixel display can't play HD-DVD at full resolution; can't write to HD-DVD discs.
The bottom line: The Aspire 5675WLHi is a poor man's way to HD-DVD early adoption, but it clearly lacks the polish of its competitors.

Excellent Specs & Performance with some drawbacks
Dec 24, 2006Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Excellent big wide screen, speed, superior graphics card, DVD writer,1.3M camera
Cons: Heatsink, inadequate speakers, weight, chasis surface
Opinion:
The Acer Aspire 5673WLMi is truly an outstanding machine for the price. The processor is a Core Duo Processor T2400 1.83GHz but only 512MB RAM but can be easily upgraded to 1GB with just S$100.
The most pleasant surprise is that my notebook comes with ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 with 256MB. This is amongst the high-end graphics card and a step up from the X1400 that equip the others.
It has 100GB SATA HD that is more than adequate. The slot-load DVD writer is from Pioneer and a very good machine and will overcome the tray versions weakness. All the standard WIFI and Bluetooth connectivity are there and comes with a VOIP Bluetooth phone too that charges through the PCIMA slot. The WIFI signal is very good that in an airport lounge overseas, it connects stremlessly while two other users cant get anything despite have the connection.
The screen is very clear and nice. Big 15.4" WXGA LCD provides clarity. ... Read more
Good Performance for Good Deal
Mar 13, 2006Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Really Fast Machine, Good Looking, Camera, Nice LCD Screen, Slot-In DVD,Good Graphics
Cons: A bit warm, regular stereo speaker
Opinion:
This Acer Aspire 5672wlmi is a good deal for price, with really good spec and quality. Used it for study, and work very well, very quite, and impresive performance. For gaming, I play my favourite gaming,Need For Speed Most Wanted, and it load very fast, graphics also superb(but have to set to 800*600 unless you enjoy lagging). overall, this Acer is really great notebook for that price. Nice job this time Acer..
Acer's Duo Core machine
Feb 11, 2006Rating: 5 out of 10 (Average)
Pros: Camera,good specs for cash
Cons: Very Poor ventilation and heat management
Opinion:
Its a pretty good and affordable buy,
good for gaming and multimedia.
$2698 for 1GB RAM,100GB and X1400 256MB Graphics. Very worth it.
Only drawback is that the machine tends to heat up very fast. Heat managament is very poor in this machine and if heat is not properly managed in any machines.
It could result in a much shorter lifespan for the notebook.
