User Review for HP Pavilion dv3000 (Core 2 Duo T9300 processor 2.5GHz, 2GB RAM)
dv3000 vs XPS1330
Aug 19, 2008Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: value for money
Cons: metalic silver keyboard & interior
Opinion:
Can someone pls advice or make a comparison between dv3000 & XPS1330... Find it hard to decide which 1 of them to buy... And also is Centrino2 worth the money or wait? Are there any small (12-13") good ones loaded with Centrino2?
Thanks!

I have both of them!
Both have problems. If you want to buy one of them I strongly recommend Dell XPS 1330, the good thing with XPS is that you can install XP on it and use it. on DV3000 you can not install XP by no means, so it means you are waisting all your money.
But XPS 1330 has its own problems as well: in case there is not good ventalation (airflow) the VGA will become hot and damage easily ! so if you can keep this issue, I absolutly recommend Dell XPS1330.
However, Dell XPS 1330 does not have internal modem, and Also the DVD drive, is inside the chasis and you can not use mini DVD disks
